Commonly Asked Questions

Are you insured?

Absolutely! We have full insurance on every line and type of work we do. Our employees are completely covered under our workmen comp and we leave nothing out to chance!

We will gladly provide proof of insurance to our clients, just email: Tony@gerreingreen.com or call our office.

How will I receive the estimate?

We use an app (an online platform called Jobber) for all client data and estimates. Your quote will be sent via text message or email for your review.  Clients are encouraged to approve the quote through this system.

What form of payment is accepted?

Payment is due upon completion of the job.  Crew leaders will collect payment prior to leaving the jobsite.  We prefer cash or check.  We will add a 3% handling fee to payments made by credit card.

Why do you require a driveway waiver

In some circumstances, driveways have hidden defects or voids underneath.  We require a signed document that authorizes our crews to drive and park equipment on driveways or other areas of a client’s property when necessary to safely complete the job.  The driveway waiver is normally discussed during the estimate appointment.   The form will be delivered by email once a customer approves a job.

What should I expect during the tree removal process?

Our crews may arrive prior to 8:00am. We recommend preparing for our arrival well in advance by moving lawn furniture or other objects to areas clear of the work zone. We recommend asking neighbors to move cars from the street to make space for our equipment and trucks.  We ask all clients to stay at a safe distance from any crew members and equipment.  We recommend that customers make direct eye contact with the crew leader, before walking into the work zone, if they need assistance during the job.  Our crews follow the all industry standards and safety protocols and wear helmets with Bluetooth communication, eye, and ear protection.

Is stump grinding messy?

Plain and simple, the answer is yes.  Our stump grinding crew will attempt to contain the mess as best they can.  Due to the velocity of the grinding wheel and the high horsepower of the machine, chips are often thrown several feet.   Since the grinder works into both the stump and surrounding soil, the materials are aerated, and the resulting volume of debris is roughly four times the size of the stump.

When will my job be scheduled?

Once a customer approves a job, we will attempt to schedule the job as soon as possible. For efficiency, we usually schedule, and group jobs focused on specific areas or cities.  Unfortunately, our schedule is often weather dependent.

Why Hire an Arborist

Arborists specialize in the care of individual trees. They are knowledgeable about the needs of trees, and are trained and equipped to provide proper care. Hiring an arborist is a decision that should not be taken lightly. Proper tree care is an investment that can lead to substantial returns. Well cared-for trees are attractive and can add considerable value to your property. Poorly maintained trees can be a significant liability. Pruning or removing trees, especially large trees, can be dangerous work. Tree work should be done only by those trained and equipped to work safely in trees.

ISA credential holders have the opportunity to list themselves in this online directory. This is a voluntary listing and may not include all the arborists in your area who hold an ISA credential. If you don’t see your city or state/prov then there isn’t an arborist currently listed. To verify an arborist’s ISA credentials, please use the Verify a Credential tool.
